Key Highlights from the Conference
- Diverse and Cutting-Edge Sessions
The virtual sessions on November 18–19 covered critical topics, including the biological basis of adverse reactions, signal detection, and safety communication in the digital age. Discussions around risk management, safety in clinical trials, and non-EU pharmacovigilance requirements provided valuable global perspectives.
The face-to-face sessions in Milan on November 22 emphasized practical applications, such as leveraging artificial intelligence in PV, managing global and local PV updates, and conducting effective audits and inspections. Workshops further deepened participants’ understanding of real-world challenges and solutions in pharmacovigilance.
- Global and Local Regulatory Insights
The congress highlighted the evolving regulatory landscape, including current QPPV requirements in Saudi Arabia and updates on MedDRA. These sessions underscored the importance of staying informed about international guidelines to maintain compliance and ensure patient safety.
