Today, March 8th, PVpharm joins the fight for the effective equality of rights for women, their participation in society and their full development as a person, on an equal footing with men.
Unfortunately, there is still much to fight for. According to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, in 2020, only less than 50% of women of working age participated in the labor market, compared to around 75% of men. This represents a gender gap of 27 percentage points globally.
Women’s empowerment
PVpharm is made up of women who battle every day to show the world their strength and worth. Fortunately, within PVpharm, we have no doubt, women are strong and brilliant. However, today more than ever, we have in mind all those girls and women who still do not have access to opportunities or who every day continue to find many stones in their way.
But of course, PVpharm would like to take this opportunity to thank all the women who make up PVpharm for their hard work and outstanding attitude. They are women scientists, entrepreneurs, leaders and passionate about their work. A group of women formed by inspiring managers, demanding and understanding colleagues, and in short, women with courage and professionalism.
PVpharm’s talent as role models
At PVpharm we love to see that our talent is not only a reference at PVpharm, but also an inspiration in our society. For this reason, we are proud to see the contributions of our colleagues, such as the one recently made by Carmen García.
Carmen has been a Pharmacovigilance officer at PVpharm for more than two years now. Her friendly and committed attitude has made her leave her mark wherever she has gone. For this reason, Carmen has been recognized as an example of a leading female scientist at the University of Almeria.
