PVpharm is happy to announce the participation of Mayte Alonso, Head of Operations at PVpharm, in the upcoming IV Pharmaceutical Law Congress organized by the Pharmaceutical Law Section of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM). The event will take place on September 18 and 19, 2025, at ICAM’s headquarters on Calle Serrano in Madrid.
This prestigious congress has become a benchmark event in Spain, offering a space for multidisciplinary dialogue around the legal, regulatory, and ethical challenges facing the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Topics on the agenda include access to medicines, pharmacovigilance, patient rights, innovation, and healthcare liability, among others.
PVpharm’s Contribution
On September 19 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 CEST, the session titled “The Right to Pharmacovigilance: Transparency, Participation, and Responsibility in the Safety of Medicines” will be held at ICAM, with an online attendance option also available.
This session will explore how stronger legal frameworks, patient involvement, and transparency can enhance drug safety systems. Francisco Almodóvar, Member of the Pharmaceutical Law Section Committee, will moderate this roundtable.
Each speaker will offer a presentation on a topic of their choice related to the session’s theme. The roundtable will conclude with an open Q&A and discussion segment, encouraging interactive participation and the exchange of ideas.

- Mariano Madurga, Independent pharmacovigilance consultant and former head of Pharmacovigilance at AEMPS.
- Cristina García del Campo, President of the Association of Patients Affected by Medicines (ADAF) and researcher.
